Are Boro leading the race for Tisserand?

Middlesbrough have reportedly stolen a lead in the race to sign Ingolstadt defender Marcel Tisserand according to reports from European press.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Ingolstadt all summer but Boro are the first club to officially register an interest.

Tisserand joined the German outfit last summer from Monaco for a fee in the region of £5million but he has been pushing for a move away following their relegation from the Bundesliga.

The defender has now been left out of first-team training and reports from L’equipe, Bild and various other sources claim he is in advanced talks with Boro ahead of completing a switch this week.
