Middlesbrough have rejected a bid from Lille, believed to be in the region of £9million, for Adama Traore.
The Daily Star reports the Ligue 1 outfit are looking to Traore to add extra firepower to their attack for the upcoming campaign. However, Boro boss Garry Monk is insistent that none of his players need to be sold before the end of the transfer window next week.
Traore joined Middlesbrough from Aston Villa last summer and has had the unfortunate occurrence of being relegated in two consecutive seasons from the Premier league following Boro’s demise last season. Traore has shown flashes of his immense talent but has largely frustrated fans at the Riverside since arriving at the club, and has not started in any of the opening four league games this season.
Several Middlesbrough players are attracting interest from other teams, with Stewart Downing to Birmingham and Grant Leadbitter to Sunderland other moves talked about recently but seemingly looking a little more unlikely day by day.
