Middlesbrough’s on-loan defender Connor Roberts has returned early to parent club Swansea.
Full-back Roberts, 22, joined Boro on a season-long loan deal in August, but heads back to Wales after making four appearances for the club.
“Connor Roberts has returned to Swansea City after his loan spell with Boro was terminated by mutual consent,” Middlesbrough said on their official website.
Roberts made just one league appearance for Boro, in the defeat at Leeds in November, and featured in three Carabao Cup ties.
Middlesbrough goalkeeper Connor Ripley has had his loan spell at Burton terminated by mutual agreement.
Ripley, 24, was scheduled to stay with Burton for the whole season after joining them on loan in August.
“Connor Ripley has returned to Boro after his loan spell with Burton Albion was terminated by mutual consent,” Boro said on their official website.
“He has seen limited game time at the Pirelli Stadium, most often acting as deputy to Brewers stopper Stephen Bywater.”
Ripley joined Burton shortly after signing a new three-year contract at the Riverside Stadium, but made only five appearances.
